Net Respect was founded in 2008 by a former Merseyside police officer and already takes the leading position on Child Internet safety and teacher safeguarding training in Liverpool.
Net Respect is now becoming a Community Interest Company.
Our community ,our society and safeguarding it from digital misuse and abuse ,violence, adult content and inappropriate content is our goal.
Social and moral pollution will result on an epic scale that cannot be addressed, if left for another five years. Community ,society and relationships with each other will degenerate .
Re eduction is the key. There are many agencies and charities working tirlessly to protect children online. CEOP ,Childnet, NSPCC and still change is needed .
We asked ourselves the question "Why do we need to protect children online in the first place and from what ?".
The answer is irresponsible Adults, and it's these adults that misuse mobile media, the internet and technology.
Every adult needs educating in positive technology use. Learn what is right and wrong in a virtual world, better discriminate between appropriate text and context using digital media. This will allow them to make better judgements in their virtual lives and be encouraged to Clean I.T Up.
On 11.11.11 we will be launching our school campaign " Respect I.T. "
This will coincide with national campaign to "CLEAN I.T. UP" .
We want adults to take social resposibility for what they put on line and get the net cleaned up.
We will be putting pressure on world leaders, key politians and Religious establishments to rid the internet of Pornography , violence free adult content and legislate to enforce it.Adult content is for adults not free for our children to see daily at the click of a mouse.
While we appreciate this task will not be easy, Net Respect will pledge to educate our communities, and society ,starting with schools ,and businesses that the net is not the norm. It is not okay to abuse online annonymity, it is not okay to bully , it is not okay to post sexual content of an adult nature or post your life online on facebook.Who is re educating them in the way we use technology ?
Its content is often not accurate, but the effects and impact on communities from crime to child protection, courts to social work, socialising and dating, to shopping and how we form friendships and shape our world .Every facet of our society is at risk from moral and social pollution .
We now focus on safeguarding children from a very different angle.Safeguarding is not internet safety, safeguarding is an education program developed to address negative conduct ,behaviour and action by children ,teenagers and vulnerable members of society in a digital world. Net Respect will teach the digital right and wrongs and we don't accept that not knowing is a reason to misuse it.
We want positive social change on how adults and children are using digital media, mobile technology and social networking sites like Facebook.Social skills are decreasing and the permissive society we live in is being shaped by the internet.Re education is now required, and Net Respect are here to do just that, re educate.
If this is not addressed now it will cause considerable social pollution in the next five years , as the evidence is increasingly strong towards the negative social impact that technology and digital media is already having . Bullying, harassment, online abuse and misuse in pictures, post and messages. Silent victims and annonymous aggressors. This must stop.
We began with internet safety, and protecting children online from a host of predators . We have since moved away from this small element, and looked at the bigger more disturbing picture.
Bullies ? Violent content ? ,bad language ?, bad social stories ?,adult content, pornography and inapropriate sexual content that is all to easy to access is put online by adults not children.Children copy what they see adults do. They accept that this is "Normal behaviour" .
We have developed Anti Cyber Bullying Solutions for Liverpool Schools and are current working with FE sectors in Blackpool,Lancashire and Fylde Coast , this includes Blackpool schools and businesses.

We are innovating with our Btec Diploma, Professional Development & Digital Social Responsibility, for professionals who work with children, vulnerable adults and teenagers or in child protection.
We place our schools, agencies and their technology training needs for safeguarding and continuous education , as the main priority of our activity. This and only this allows us to hold the leading positions , trust and respect.
We are here to empower parents, pupils, teachers , and employees who use Social networks like Facebook , to use them responsibly.
Lead by example, “Use I.T don’t abuse I.T.”.
It’s not children who use technology inappropriately, its ADULTS .On their phone ,I phone and Blackberry , not show them how to exploit it , by putting inappropriate content there in the first place.
